bDKP System

Beatha Síoraí follows the bDKP (Beatha DKP) system for handling all loot. Points are earned by raiding, and then spent to buy loot from boss drops. The system is detailed below. Boss values, item values, etc can be seen in the bDKP Table.

Earning Points
  1. Attendance - must sign up 24 hours in advance, show up on time, and stay the scheduled duration of the raid. No penalty is given if the raid goes over the scheduled time and you are unable to stay.
  2. Boss Kills
  3. New Boss Attempts
  4. Bonus for New Boss Kills
  5. ABCD (Above and Beyond the Call of Duty) Bonus - to be grated at the Raid Leader's discretion to individuals that have clearly gone above and beyond for the benefit of Beatha's raiding team.
  6. Raid Leader Bonus - leading raids requires a lot of additional work, including researching instances, organizing the run, scheduling, and well, leading! It's a tough job and we wanna reward those folks that put themselves out there and lead us to victory! It's our way of saying thank you for all the hard work they put into the raids.
  7. Backups - if you sign up as a backup 24 hours in advance, are online and available the duration of the scheduled raid, you will earn the same amount of DKP as if you were in the raid itself.

Spending Points
  1. Loot Items have a base item value based on where they drop.(as seen in the bDKP Table referenced above).
  2. Silent auctions will be held for loot drops. Basically, anyone eligible to bid on the item will send a tell to the master looter with their bid for the item (minimum must be the base item value). The person to bid the highest will win the item. You cannot bid more than the DKP you have available to you.
  3. Bidding Eligibility - in order to be eligible to bid on an item, you must have the DKP for the item and be part of the current bidding round.
  4. Bidding Rounds - Bidding will be done in two rounds
    1. Need bids (Need ALWAYS comes first for Beatha!) - this means the item is an upgrade for your current spec.
    2. Off-spec bids - this bid will be opened up in the event no one in the raid needs the item.
    3. Dust it - not a bidding round, but the final fate of any item not needed or desired for off-spec. The shards are sent to the guild bank.
  5. Special Circumstances
    1. In the event that no one in the raid that needs an item has the DKP for an item, the item will go to the person whom needs it and has the highest DKP. This person will pay the base item value for the loot. Note that this will cause you to go negative DKP. That's ok though, cause you can earn it back! Here in Beatha we don't like to see items that are upgrades get burned just cause no one has the DKP for it. This is our way of ensuring that doesn't happen, while keeping the system fair.
    2. Any other special curcumstances that occur (We can't predict them all!) will be handled at the discretion of the raid leader and officers.

Multiple Characters

bDKP is earned and spend per character. Therefore, DPK earned on Character1 cannot be spent on Character2 and vise versa. The exception to this rule is if you are asked to switch characters for the sake of the raid. In this case, the player can choose which character to have the DKP attributed to. For example, if a member signed up for a raid as Jimmy (a priest) but was asked, by the raid leader, to get Billy (a warrior) instead, the member would have the option to have the DKP earned in the raid applied to either Jimmy or Billy.

Tracking bDKP

bDKP is going to be tracked through webDKP.com. You can view your bDKP here.

Blues and Patterns

Blue items and patterns will not be part of the bDKP bidding system. For these items, we will use our Need, Off-spec, Dust rolling system. Note that for patterns, the first roll will be for need for current character. If no one needs it, the roll will open up to need for alts, if no one has an alt that could use the pattern then it will go to a guild bank.

Additional Notes

A DKP system is like a guild economy. As such, it is impossible to forsee exactly how it will play out until put in motion. The officers reserve the right to alter any of the point values in the bDKP Table in an effort to ensure our bDKP stays healthy and does not suffer from inflation or deflation. Any changes made will be announced.
