Beatha Síoraí Guild Rules

If is each and every member's responsibility to read these rules and be aware of what is expected of you. Though this may seem like a long list of rules, they all boil down to one basic principle -- Respect your fellow guild mates and their time.

Code Of Conduct

Remember that the tag above your head makes you a representative of Beatha. Your behavior on the realm should represent Beatha in a positive way at all times. It is understandable that you cannot control the actions of others but you can control your own. Act respectable at all times. We are proud of this family and we want to keep it that way.

General Rules

Be respectful of your guild-mates and others outside of the guild when at all possible.

This includes but is not limited to:
A. Respecting their time.
B. No begging.

Keep the guild a drama free zone.

Language. Please remember that we have younger people in our family and we should be using respectful language that suites the situation. Don't use language that you would not be comfortable using around your grandmother. Racial slurrs, harsh terms, blatent insults to someone's relgious persuasion, sexual orientation, or other such comments should be checked at the door.

Help each other but give back when you receive. Leave the give me attitude for another family. Also please, don't beg.

The Council works hard each day to ensure your experience here is a good one. Do not proceed to disrespect them with yelling, cussing etc. It is grounds for removal.

Alts are welcome in this family. There is no limit but be aware they are subject to the same rules as your main and will be treated as such.

If you are going to be gone for an extended period of time please let an officer know. We will worry about you for one thing and the other is we need to be sure that the members are active. We reserve the right to remove you if you extend 60 days with no notice. We are sympathetic to extended leaves but we must be told.

To bring someone new into the guild please refer to our Sponsor program.

One of the most important of rules. GREED and the 0 tolerance policy. We have had this standpoint since Beatha's conception and remains steadfast today. Greed will have you removed.

Grouping Rules

1. When you reserve a spot in a 5 man group you have a responsibility to be there as you said you would. The exception to this would be if you got a replacement from the guild or if you cancel within a reasonable amount of time.

2. Greed is never tolerated in this guild and it never will be. We play need before greed. As a general rule you should be rolling need or greed on all Bind on Equip (BOE) and passing to discuss on all Bind ON Pickup (BOP). If ever there is an exception to this rule it will be stated at the beginning, an example of this would be quest items.

3. Please be smart enough to listen to what the leader is calling out. Working together is the first key to success on any run. Sure you might know a better way. Then suggest it politely or if you can't handle that then by all means just leave it for the next time when you are leading a run. Nothing wipes a group faster than everyone doing their own thing.

4. If you need to leave a group early for real life reasons. Please have a replacement ready to come in when at all possible. Let the group leader know that you must go as soon as you know you are going to have to leave so that they can help provide a replacement as well.

Raiding Rules

Signing up – this is step one and must be done by everyone planning to attend. There are no exceptions to this rule and it will not get bent for any reason. No sign = no go. If you sign up and do not meet the requirements for a particular raid do not be suprised when you do not make the roster list for that raid. If you are wondering why you missed the roster please ask the raid leader for that particular run why and what you can do to fix it. At any point before signing up for a raid you can see on the raiding forum what the requirements are and if you need assistance on where to find the gear etc please ask any one of the raid leaders for help.

Punctuality. This means 30 minutes in advance of a raid you should be logging on and getting prepared. The first pull should be at the start of the raid's starting time not whenever the late person shows up. Not only can you be replaced by not being there on time but if it becomes habit you may be demoted so that you are unable to sign up for raids for a given amount of time. Continual violation of this policy will result in a removal from the guild. We understand that RL situations come up from time to time, when these happen, talk to your class lead and explain the situation.

LOOT – please see DKP and What it Means to You! If that doesn't answer your questions then please seek out the F.A.Q as well. Officers are available as well to help you understand the system and how it works. Information on the bDKP system can be found here.

Not every run is perfect but you should show good manners on every run you go on. No matter how frustrated or tired you may be do not criticize your teammates for the run. This include complaining. It serves no greater purpose other than for you to “vent” and everyone else to join in your frustration. If someone seeks you out for information and you have it great but do not proceed to tell someone else how they should be specced or how they should play.

If you have idea for a certain strategy then please speak with your Class Lead, Captain or last case the Raid Leader. Please remember the Raid Leaders have done their homework and that they have final call on what is happening. The longer you talk the longer it takes to get moving on an instance.

Raid Ready Checks – once you answer yes, it's time to quiet down and focus. We are starting the encounter and emotes, chatting, etc should be cut off.

Random AFK's are not tolerated. Respecting each others time is important. Please let someone know if it's a must do thing.

Spec - Once you register with a spec we are placing you in raids according to that spec. To change your current registered spec you must take the following steps:

1. Speak with your Class Lead, Raiding Official or Officer.
2. Fulfill all obligations that you are currently signed up for with the current spec. This includes waiting until we find a replacement for your role. (Example: If you registered as a tank, we will need to find a tank to take your place before you respec.)
3. Re-register with the new spec.

Shadowboxing is not allowed in Beatha raids. You can't give 100% on either character while doing this.

If you have any questions about these rules, please speak with an officer.
