Beatha Síoraí was founded in January 19, 2006 as a guild of friends. Since it's inception, the we have undergone many changes, including a server transfer from Shadow Council in January of 2007. Recently, Beatha has undergone a new transformation to further our raiding experience, from a casual guild, to a raiding guild. Though we have been raiding since pre-BC days, our focus has shifted to raid progression more than ever.

Even with all these changes, however, we are still a guild of friends first and foremost and will always be. While we may have some support within the family for some role play or player versus player action we are a raiding guild.

We expect active commitment from our members, but we understand that different players have different play opportunities. We share, we always help each other, and we always respect others. As guild members, we are representatives of our entire group at every moment, in every encounter.
If you are looking for a different sort of guild, please save yourself and us time and do not apply. If, however, this guild suits your desires for a supportive group of friends to experience end game content with, we welcome your application to Beatha Síoraí.

Welcome to Beatha Síoraí. Our name translates from the Gaelic as Life Eternal. The name concept was a simple one from the start. When I was creating this guild I needed something that would reflect the friendships that we not only hold dear to us within the guild but also those from outside of it -- our attitudes towards both our family of Beatha Síoraí and friends outside the guild. Gaelic to me is a beautiful language and it flows in its own rhythms and makes me think of a circle when I hear it spoken. Circles to me represent much of life. Often we know no beginning and it's not in our nature to predict an end. Friendships are like this, too. Once one begins it's hard to remember just when it truly began. I don't mean the moment we met; I mean the friendship's beginning. It is truly hard to pinpoint the moment when it changes from casual to meaningful. And as to the end of a friendship? I don't think they ever really end. As the circle continues the friendships change and alter course due to different events that take place. But an ending is not in sight at any time.

Now some would view the origins of our guild itself as simple. I agree. But the fabric that is woven now is a beautiful circular cloth full of friendship, love, joy, caring and so many different attributes that it would be difficult to explain until you've been with us for a while. We play a game together. We run instances, quest, and raid often together. Though there are life's problems and roadblocks that come up, underneath it all, behind each screen, is a real person with real feelings, problems, and a real life. Part of what keeps us together is the friendships woven there with that knowledge always in mind. “John” is not just a level 42 hunter. “John” is a person we get to know. We hear about his family, his friends, and everything from what's he's cooking for dinner to a loss in his family. We know his children by name and how they might be doing in school. All of a sudden it's not so much just a game any longer. It has become a friendship. And so... Life Eternal. For me the Life represents us as real people and the Eternal as the circle that is woven as we go along.

"John" is also a responsible raider. This means he signs up on time, he is prepared for the raid, he shows up on time and he respects his family's time. John works hard for raid progression, respects authority, and is an over all great team player!

Beatha has definitely come full circle, and now we look to you, to complete the chain.
